Baby's First Pride

Today was Seattle's Gay Pride Parade downtown and Ruby was there with bells on....well, with her "Already smarter than Bush" onesie anyway. This is indeed her first pride out of the womb and she really enjoyed all of the bustle, sparkly things and music and hanging with all of our friends, screaming "Stickers!!!!" Last year, I marched with the bookcart drill team. I didn't get together enough to march this year but next year, I'll be there! They were fabulous as usual! Speaking of the librarians, here they are in all of their splendor!
After pride, we tried to go to a bbq at Seward park to meet up with a bunch of our mama friends....but we were not successful for a myriad of reasons (mainly because I am directionally challenged and wholly disorganized) so we just went home. I guess it was for the best, Little Miss R was tired!

We missed you at the picnic! Wished we'd made it to Pride, too, seeing as Ruby and Blix were both there last year in utero!

We missed you at the picnic, but it was a sleepy day and snuggling in a warm home sounded good too. Can't wait to see you both again soon.
